When setting up your office – a comfortable chair is your priority. With all the options available, choosing an office chair can turn into a complicated task. It does not need to be! When it comes to sitting, an adjustable chair which can be adapted to allow for the following posture is best;

  • Feet – flat on the floor or footrest
  • Knees – same height as the hips or slightly lower, a small gap at the back of the knees in front of the chair cushion.
  • Back- supported against a firm, upright backrest.
  • Arms- at a 90-degree angle while typing or using a mouse. If using arm rests, they should allow for this positioning.

FEATURES

 

This chair has an aluminum base and smooth maneuverable wheels. This makes it convenient to move around an office on any floor surface. The backrest, headrest, and seat pan are made from DuraweaveTM Hybrid Mesh. This material felt extremely comfortable and breathable, it is definitely a good option for warmer climates.

Armrests. The Ergotune Supreme has GyroBraceTM 5D armrests. These armrests are height adjustable and rotate freely. This is a great feature which means that the armrests are easily adapted to the users’ shoulder width. The adjustability of the armrests also means that they never obstruct the desk and could be easily moved out of the way if the user would prefer no armrests.

 

Seat pan. The Ergotune Supreme chair has a seat pan which moves in and out. This means that the chair can be adjusted to ensure the correct level of support is given at the back of the legs. A small gap of 2 to 3 finger-widths between the back of the knees and the chair seat is ideal to ensure sufficient support but no discomfort caused by the chair compressing against the legs.

 

Backrest. The chair is fitted with an ATLASTM backrest which stands for Auto-Tuning Lumbar Area Support. The lumbar support conforms to your shape, hence providing you with suitable support for your spinal curves and overall increased comfort. It also means that the chair adapts if you move your positioning. A TrueTiltTM recline system allows you to control the angle and tension of the chair’s backrest.

 

Headrest. The chair is fitted with a TrituneTM 3D headrest which can be adjusted upwards, downwards, and tilted forward and back. This means that you can adjust the angle to suit your specific needs. The headrest can also be extended forwards or retracted backwards.

SUITABILITY FOR OFFICE USE

The Ergotune Supreme chair is highly adjustable, this means that it can be easily altered for use by different employees if required. For example, if needed in a hot desk office. However, the user will need to be familiar with the chair to set it up accurately.

This is a comfortable and good value-for-money chair. Ergonomically, the chair has all the requirements of a supportive office chair both for use at home and in the office. The chair is highly adjustable and for this reason is a very good option which will suit your specific requirements.

 

However, it is important to take the time to set this chair up correctly. The high number of available adjustments require the user to take time to understand what the chair does and ensure it is set up to support the body as well as possible.
